Neighborhoods
Forest Park combines rolling green pastures, stunning views east and west, and fine homes in both new developments and on existing large lots nestled near the trails and massive tree canopy of the nation's largest urban park.
Hillside is truly in a prime location, with grand houses and views, parks ranging from intimate to wilderness and proximity to unparalleled shopping and dining opportunities.
Linnton is a neighborhood with great potential, nestled between Forest Park and the Columbia along US 30. It has a small town feel, with its modest shops and restaurants along the highway, but Northwest, Pearl and Downtown are just a short drive away.
Northwest, home to Oregon’s most densely populated zip code, 97209, offers a myriad of housing options, from beautiful Craftsman and Old Portland homes to historic apartment buildings and sleek new condominiums, all within walking distance of great restaurants, bars and shops.
Northwest Heights, situated on the west side of the West Hills, offers scores of new developments boasting large new homes, most with views of the Coast Range, and the seclusion and peace of living in a forest.
Northwest Industrial has its share of brick warehouses ripe for renovation and, given the neighborhood’s proximity to the burgeoning Pearl District, a Pearl-like transformation seems likely.
Oldtown/Chinatown is a thrillingly urban, historic neighborhood. Old Town, Portland’s original downtown, is now home to bars, restaurants and live music venues and has an air of gritty, rock ‘n’ roll amiability while Portland’s Chinatown, the second largest (after San Francisco’s, of course) on the West Coast, retains enough shabby chaos to avoid being a simple tourist destination.
The Pearl is a Portland success story that encapsulates the ethos of the city: stylish sustainability. The Pearl is a compact neighborhood of million dollar lofts housed in renovated warehouses and glimmering, newly constructed high rises. Driving is unnecessary, as everything one could need is located within a few blocks.
